Mission Statement

The Office of Civil Rights Compliance (CRC) strives to ensure that all members of Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) value and respect each others’ contributions and opinions without regard to gender, race, social or ethnic background, or any of the protected categories. CRC’s mission is to deter and investigate complaints of harassment and discrimination based on the protected categories. We carry out this mission through proactive training regarding discrimination/harassment and cultural sensitivity, as well as by conducting fair, impartial and timely investigations. Additionally, CRC responds to complaints/charges filed with state and/or federal enforcement agencies.
